At the center, Shiva and Parvati are seated together upon an elaborate throne beneath a jewelled parasol, framed by an arched throne-back crowned with lions. Shiva is depicted with his crescent moon and matted locks, rudraksha malas, and serpent adornments, his hand raised in benediction, while Parvati sits gracefully beside him in a rich green and gold saree, embodying serene consort-hood.
The couple is flanked by their two sons-Ganesha, seated to the right with his elephant head and jewelled crown, and Kartikeya (Skanda), portrayed to the left in his multi-headed form-both attended by sages, devotees, and courtiers bearing ceremonial fans and standards. Above the assembly, twin Om emblems radiate on either side, framing the scene with sacred resonance, while distant Himalayan peaks and lions in the background subtly retain echoes of Shiva's mountain abode.
At the foot of the throne rests Nandi, Shiva's faithful bull, draped in an ornate jewelled caparison and rendered with tender naturalism. Painted in the refined Nathdwara style, this work is marked by its lavish detailing, warm jewel-toned palette, and courtly grandeur, offering a rare and regal indoor vision of the Shiva family assembly rarely seen in traditional Shaiva art.
